If you’ve never played either of the Metro games, you are really missing out. Both were very under-the-radar, stealth-focused first person shooters, with an extremely interesting story backdrop. Set in the subways tunnels under the irradiated wasteland of Russia, you play as Artyom, a soldier in one of the few surviving pockets of humanity. The story gets pretty dense from there, but here’s the long and short. Bad shit happens. You shoot bad shit. Shit gets weird.
The original game suffered from some weird bugs and some inconsistent stealth mechanics, but the game was very playable, and excelled on the PC. Both games are gorgeous in their own right, so it is awesome that both games are getting the remastered treatment to make their way onto Xbox One and PS4. Expect the Metro Redux package to hit store shelves this summer. More in-depth store at the jump.
